Top Pet Health Topics of 2010

From the WebMD Archives

Three-quarters of WebMD readers say they own pets -- and it’s clear they struggle with day-to-day issues of pet ownership, from feeding their pets to embarrassing pet behaviors.

Take that little reward from the table. You may think it's ok to give your dog a chip with guacamole or piece of chocolate, but a treat like that can cause real problems.

When it comes to behavior, what's normal? Is it OK for your dog to eat grass, or for your cat to drink from the toilet?

Sleeping with your pet is also a hot issue -- and we know you do it. According to a recent survey of pet owners by the American Pet Products Association, nearly half of dogs sleep in their owner’s beds. The survey also found that 62% of cats sleep with their adult owners.

And new research indicates your choice of pet may predict your personality. Dog people, as a rule, are more extroverted and agreeable and cat people tend to be more introverted.

Here’s the list of the 5 most popular topics among WebMD’s Healthy Pet readers, along with related content.
