Will I need stitches for a dog bite?

ANSWER

Sometimes, but it's controversial. Stitches can reduce scarring, but they also can raise your odds of infection. It depends on the where the bit is. A bite on your face may need stitches to prevent scars. Very deep wounds that cause a great deal of damage can require plastic surgery.
